Donated Security System Saves 3-Month-Old Puppy

Three years ago, when Hoosier Security donated a security camera system to The Humane Society for Hamilton County, little did we know that the system would help save a 3-month-old puppy named Miri. The donated security system was a gift in memory of a long-standing client of Hoosier Security who loved animals and truly wanted to do everything in her power to prevent their mistreatment. This gift has now prevented the loss of life of one happy, energetic, and warm puppy.

This past Monday, Miri was dumped over the fence of the humane society in the frigid cold. With a jump rope around her neck, she was thrown over the fence and left to bear the minus 3-degree weather for roughly 45 minutes before a shelter staff member happened to look out her window and notice her.

Your first thought might be, “why would someone do such a thing?” Sadly, animals are dumped all the time and rarely are the offenders caught. However, this time, there will be #JusticeforMiri. We are working with the humane society to look over footage and help identify the person who dumped Miri Monday morning. The footage clearly shows someone pulling up and throwing her over the fence.

We already plan to add two more cameras to the system along with a license plate identifier system to catch the culprit and prevent this from happening again. We’d like to thank our friends at the Humane Society for Hamilton County for taking care of Miri and working diligently to find her forever home.

Check out this clip of our President, Armando Perez, being interviewed by Nick Natario of WISH-TV as he talks through his donated security system and how he plans to make it his personal and company mission to bring #JusticeforMiri.
