The Basics:
We are looking for the right person to join our team. The opportunity is for a lead technician able to install and service all forms of electronic security devices and integrated systems. This person will be able to install and service all manner of analog and digital surveillance equipment, access control systems and alarm systems with confidence. Experience is required, but more importantly is the ability to self-educate in the field when presented with challenging circumstances based on a solid foundation of knowledge and capable hands and brain. Your day would consist of managing installation projects by both working with subcontract teams and assistants as well as doing the work yourself, and being responsible for the quality of the installation. Other duties would involve troubleshooting systems and executing repairs, keeping customers and the company informed of job status, generating and updating work orders, maintaining vehicle inventory and advising on proposed inventory changes, performing site visits to consult with our sales department, testing new equipment and helping to come up with innovative solutions. It is imperative that you see the big picture of what we do and why it matters. While this is mostly a commercial systems position, you must also be able to service and install residential security systems. Because we are a smaller company, you will also occasionally be asked to assist with critical tasks that are “not your job.” If that is an issue, please do not apply.
The Money:
This is an hourly full-time position. There are some perks and bonuses that come with this position. Immediately available are a company van and fuel as well as a company paid smart phone. After the initial 90-day probationary period, there is a $1000.00 sign on bonus, quarterly cash bonuses, paid time off and other performance-based bonuses and the ability to move into positions with more responsibility and pay.

REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High school diploma or GED
Some college preferred
Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years experience installing and inspecting/repairing commercial and/or residential security systems or comparable systems.
Experience with leading a team
Must have a working knowledge of Commercial Low Voltage Systems, CCTV, Card Access Systems and Access Control as well as Alarms and a working knowledge of IT and networking.
You must know what you don’t know, so we can help get you training resources.
Preferred Skills and Attitudes:
Excellent communication skills, including listening.
Self-Motivated and quick learner.
Excellent time management and time estimating skills.
Must have solid reason-based decision-making skills.
Other:
Valid driver’s license required.
Must have a clean criminal record due to the nature of our business and insurance requires that you pass a background test.
