Indianapolis Access Control Systems
Access control is an extremely important step toward mitigating an organization’s security risks. At Hoosier Security, when designing and installing an access control system, we customize it to meet the specific needs of our customers. For every customer, we always have the safety of employees, the security of confidential and sensitive information, and the protection of highly valued equipment and other assets as a top priority.
Access control security.
We have the experience to select the right access control systems and design systems that operate effectively and efficiently within your existing building infrastructure.
Access control systems greatly help to prevent time theft from employees. If an employee isn’t on the schedule or on site, they won’t be able to get in. Access control is also critical to the prevention of unauthorized access to your property and valued assets. Choosing the right security contractor to provide access control for your business is equally critical.
Access control technologies.
Access control can be accomplished through the utilization of various methods, or a combination of methods, such as:
- Credentials: There are various types of credentials that can be used, such as a personal identification number (PIN) or a biometric feature (see Biometrics below).
- Card Access (access badge)
- Key Fobs and Long Range Key Fobs: portable devices that manage a remote-entry system from a distance
- Biometrics: verifies human characteristics unique to each individual such a handprint, fingerprint, or iris
- Latches and E-latches (electronic latches)
- Magnet Locks
- Electronic Push Bars
- Embeddable Credentials: credentials that can be tied to a license plate as an integrated solution
At Hoosier Security we work closely with you to determine which of these access control technologies will be best for you and your unique security concerns.
Access control systems.
Our technicians are trained in all major makes of access control systems, including Paxton, HID, GE TruPortal, DSC MaxSys, Keri Systems, Linear, DoorKing, and KeyScan. Some of the brands we use include Honeywell, Intellinet, GE Interlogix, and Paxton. We’re certified Level 2 with Paxton, meaning we’re factory certified by Paxton to install Paxton equipment.
But, because we are truly independent, we don’t preclude any equipment and we certainly aren’t married to any particular brand! That means you aren’t limited to one brand for access control security. You have several options and we’ll work with you to select the best fit for your access control needs. More important than the brand of equipment is the care with which is it programmed. An improperly programmed and managed access control system can easily become a liability.
